Managing delegations — delegating custodian work to another user, viewing active delegations

Delegations
When a Custodian is unavailable to complete an assignment, SAOs can delegate their work to another user.
Creating a Delegation
To delegate an assignment:
- Locate the assignment on the request or assignments dashboard
- Click Delegate on the assignment card
- Select the person who will take over the work
- Set the delegation scope and end date
- Confirm the delegation

How Delegations Appear
The delegate sees the assignment on their dashboard with a Delegated badge, making it clear the work was reassigned to them. They can then proceed with the assignment just as the original Custodian would.
Notifications
The original Custodian can be notified when their assignment has been delegated, keeping them informed of the change.
Managing Active Delegations
SAOs can view and manage all active delegations from the request. If circumstances change, a delegation can be updated or removed as needed.
