Closure Reasons
Closure Reasons define the reasons available when closing a request. Each closed request must have an associated closure reason.

Common Closure Reasons
- Completed — The request was processed and a response was provided
- Withdrawn — The requestor withdrew the request
- Abandoned — The requestor did not respond to follow-up communications
- Transferred — The request was transferred to another institution
Managing Closure Reasons
- Add — Click Add Reason, enter the name (and translations if multiple languages are enabled), and save.
- Edit — Click on an existing reason to update it.
- Remove — Delete reasons that are no longer needed.
Usage
When an SAO closes a request, they select the closure reason from a dropdown. This reason is recorded on the request and included in statistical reports.
