Report catalog — enabling and renaming the fields the Custom Report Builder exposes per tenant

Report Catalog
The Report Catalog controls which fields your users see in the Custom Report Builder and what those fields are called. You can turn fields on or off for your tenant and rename them to match your office's own terminology, so the builder's field list reads the way your team expects rather than exposing every field the product ships.

Where to Find It
Open Settings from the app toolbar and choose Report catalog in the Reports group.
What You Configure
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Enable / disable a field | Whether the field appears in the Custom Report Builder catalogue — as a Group by, a Measure, or a Filter. |
| Rename a field | The label shown for that field in the builder, supplied per your tenant's active languages. |
How It Affects the Builder
The Custom Report Builder (in the Reports area) lists a subject's fields in its left-hand catalogue, grouped by category. Fields you disable here drop out of that catalogue; fields you rename show your label. Report definitions are stored language-neutrally, so a report that groups or filters on a renamed field still reads correctly in every user's language.
Behavioral Effects
- Disabling a field only removes it from the builder's picker — it does not delete any data, and existing saved reports that already use the field are unaffected.
- Fields that expose requestor PII carry a red eye icon in the builder; the catalog governs whether such a field is offered at all.
Tips
- Trim rarely-used fields to keep the builder approachable — a shorter catalogue is easier for coordinators to navigate.
- Rename product field names to your office's vocabulary so shared reports are self-explanatory to every user.
