Relationships

The Relationships screen defines the types of relationships between the requestor and the subject of the request.

Common Relationship Types

  • Self — The requestor is the subject of the request
  • Legal representative — The requestor is acting on behalf of the subject through legal authority
  • Third party — The requestor is a third party requesting information about the subject
  • Parent / guardian — The requestor is a parent or legal guardian of the subject

Managing Relationship Types

  • Add — Click Add Relationship, enter the name (and translations if multiple languages are enabled), and save.
  • Edit — Click on an existing entry to update it.
  • Remove — Delete entries that are no longer needed.

Usage

When creating or editing a request, the SAO selects the relationship type that describes how the requestor relates to the subject of the request. This is particularly relevant for personal information requests.
