Get Started: Set Up AccessPoint
The Set up AccessPoint topic on My Day is for administrators. Its step is Review training options, which opens Settings → Training so you decide how your team can practise.
Review training options
- Open Settings from the toolbar and choose Training in the Getting started group.
- Under Train mode, check Allow train mode (on by default) and Who may enter train mode (everyone, or only people with a role).
- Choose how often Copy current setup to training runs (Never, Every week or Every month), or select Copy current setup now. It copies configuration only, never cases, requestor details or documents.
- Check Offer guided help. Switching it off hides Get started, Guide me and the tips.
- Under Documents in train mode, decide whether people may upload their own files to training cases (off by default), and review the Team switches for exercises, assigned training and progress.
The step ticks when you have reviewed the options. Settings → Training is available in your real work only, not in train mode.
Finish setting up AccessPoint
On a new tenant, administrators also see a Finish setting up AccessPoint group on My Day: import a jurisdiction pack, add your team and assign roles, choose languages, configure notifications and the sender mailbox, set your organization name, and upload letterhead and document templates. Each item opens the matching Settings panel and most disappear when the step is done. A jurisdiction pack is a starting point built from public information about the legislation, not legal advice. Your legal counsel validates and adjusts it.
Guide me, Practise and Mark complete
Each step in the Get started group on My Day has one main action and two icons.
- Guide me (the training icon) highlights the real control on the real screen in at most four short steps. The control stays usable, Tab reaches it, and Escape closes the tour. Guide me never opens a case for you. See Guide me.
- Practise appears on steps that have a training case. It opens train mode, where you work on fictional cases and nothing is sent, delivered or published. See Train mode.
- ? opens this page. Mark complete ticks the step when you have already done it another way.
A step ticks itself when you do it for real. Practising in train mode ticks only the Practise steps. For the whole group, see Get Started.
