Review Throughput Report

The Review Throughput report shows where approvals stall. It breaks turnaround down by review type and by approver, so you can see whether a bottleneck is a particular kind of review or a particular person's queue.

What This Report Shows

• Median and 90th-percentile turnaround, broken down by review type and by approver — the median shows the typical wait, the 90th percentile shows how bad the tail gets.
• Steps overdue right now — review steps that have blown past their due date as of today.
• Escalation rate — how often a review step gets escalated rather than actioned in the normal course.
• Rework rate — how often a review comes back with requested changes instead of being approved outright.

Reading Turnaround as an Upper Bound

Review turnaround here is reconstructed, not directly timestamped — a review step doesn't record its own activation time. In a sequential review chain, this means a step's measured turnaround includes the time every earlier approver in the chain took before it, so read the figure as an upper bound on that step's own handling time rather than an exact duration. Read it beside the rework rate: a review type with both high turnaround and high rework is more likely a genuine bottleneck than one where turnaround is inflated purely by chain position.

Using This Report

Use the period selector at the top to set the reporting range, and Edit the range inline with Apply to refresh the figures. Sort by 90th percentile rather than median when hunting for the worst-case delays a review type or approver produces, and use escalation rate to spot review types that routinely need to be pushed past the assigned approver to get moving.
